As a co-founder of CityLab Professional, I am thrilled to share with you our focus on apprenticeships and our commitment to providing pre-release inmates with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the workforce and make a successful transition back into society.
Our program is designed to cover key topics such as effective communication, active listening, problem-solving, and conflict resolution, as well as providing training in ICT, online safety, security, ethics, and etiquette, contextualized online search and research skills, applied productivity tools with advanced application techniques, imaging and design for the online environment, and online platforms as tools for ICT content development.
We will be using the SMARTER goal-setting approach for this program, which ensures that the training is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Additionally, the program includes an evaluation and re-adjustment step, which allows trainees who may have struggled to catch up and reach the desired level.
The program will be broken down as follows:
- WEEKS 1-2: Information and Communication Technology (ICT) covering the topics of the current state of ICT technologies and online systems, functions, and platforms, online safety, security, ethics, and etiquette, contextualized online search and research skills
- WEEKS 3-4: Applied productivity tools with advanced application techniques
- WEEKS 5-6: Imaging and Design for the Online Environment W
- ]EEKS 7-8: Online platforms as tools for ICT content development
We believe that this program will provide pre-release inmates with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the workforce and make a successful transition back into society.
